The Math Art Integration Project

mathartbig.jpgThe Math Art Integration Project was created to provide students with a curriculum that embraces the arts as a means to teach targeted high school math concepts. It is our goal to provide meaningful arts lessons, targeting the college readiness mathematics standards , to regional math and art teachers. The project is also based on the understanding that all student learn differently, so we focus on using art as a means to reach all students. This project is part of the Washington State Transition Mathematics Project (TMP).

The districts participating in this project are Easton, Grandview and Toppenish. These districts have high school arts and math educators who have agreed to work together and create arts integrated math modules. These modules will be made available from the ArtFusion lessons page.

Meeting dates - January 23 from 8-3. Registration is available by invitation only for the teachers participating, click here to register.
